Robert Loves Lyle Waggoner!

My first same-sex crush was Lyle Waggoner, circa 1975. I was about 6 or 7-years old at the time.

Lyle was exactly how I still like my men:

Big 'n manly, with beefcake handsomeness.

And thank you forever, Carol Burnett, for making him take his shirt off on your show.

Then he moved on to that cartoon come to life, on "Wonder Woman" as dashing Major Steve TrevorWhat wasn't there to like?

I'll never forget the first nudie magazine I ever stole. My childhood best friend's dad kept a stash of Playboys under his bed he snuck out.

But amongst those magazines was this strange anomaly: a Playgirl. And there in the centerfold was my dream guy, Lyle Waggoner.

Naturally, I always wanted him to swipe that one for me, swearing it was only because he was on "Wonder Woman" and I wanted to grow up to be Steve Trevor.

It's been more than 30 years since then, and I recently reconnected with that childhood friend on Facebook. It was the first time he officially found out I was gay, and his only reply was:

"I should have known when you made me steal that Lyle Waggoner magazine from my mom."

Yes, Lewis - you really should have! But thanks for the magazine, which I still own today.

Ramon Loves Michael Bergin!

I'd have to say that my first major gay crush was
Michael Bergin as J.D. Darius on "Baywatch!"

This show was a huge part of my sexual awakening as a child. I was about 12 when I started watching it, and I knew I loved me some men - but this was when
I realized I had a passion for them. Especially looking at Michael, and I couldn't believe my eyes!

Oh, those 6-pack abs, huge pecs, muscular arms, broad shoulders, gorgeous back, flawless tan skin, and his beautiful face. It was true love!
I was so obsessed, I even took swimming lessons!

I couldn't get enough of him running and swimming in those red shorts. I so wanted to 'drown' at a beach, with that hunk on top of me, giving mouth to mouth.

Michael still has a special place in my heart, and not just because he still has it totally goin' on.
With his beauty and sexual charm, he gave joy and hope to a chubby, awkward outcast who was realizing how most of the world viewed gay people.

Love you, Michael!

David Loves Jerry O'Connell

I was 11 when I hit puberty, and it was very evident what aroused me and what didn't. It wasn't until I was 13 though, that I had my first celebrity crush.

It was Jerry O'Connell on TV's "My Secret Identity." And of course, what young gay boy doesn't feel like he has a secret identity?

I was in love with this kid who was kind of awkward but kind of cool. I even tried to dress like him with a T-shirt under an opened button-down shirt.

He was cute and fun, and I always secretly hoped that he'd be shirtless during the episode. Years later I found him again on "Sliders," and I've followed his career ever since.

Nowadays, I like my men a lot bigger and beefier,
but I will always have a weakness for my Jerry.

Brian Loves Burt Ward!

My first gay crush was Burt Ward.

Twice a week for 2 1/2 years, I was in front of the TV waiting to see Robin, the Boy WonderWhen the neighborhood kids and I played Batman & Robin, I always played the villain.

Why? So I could find different ways to tie up Robin!

Those tights with a hint of bulge was the beginning of my wet dreams. Looks like Burt had some too?

So I guess that was also the start of my little rope/handcuff fetish.

And here's Burt Ward's official website with lots of great info, photos, and merchandise.

Alas, I couldn't find any used tights...

Dita Loves Kellie Martin!

I had MANY girl crushes growing up:
Madonna, Debbie Gibson, and Joyce DeWitt.

But no one warmed my heart like Kellie Martin.

Her character Becca Thatcher from "Life Goes On" was sweet, awkward, nerdy, kindhearted. I wanted nothing more than to be her friend.

I identified with her frustrations and vulnerabilities dealing with school and family. I felt no one else understood her the way I did.

My crush evolved to full devotion when I got a teen magazine that featured Kellie in a bathing suit from "Wild & Crazy Kids" on Nickleodeon.

She was like a goddess.

Even drenched and wet, she looked perfect. Her smile can send my heart all a flutter to this day.

I've continued to follow her career through "Christy," "ER," and the "Mystery Woman" series. I even follow her on Twitter and Facebook.

She molded my idea of what I look for in another woman in my adult life today.

I even had an ex-girlfriend I called "My Becca" because she reminded me so much of Kellie.
